چکیده

We present BioVXML as an extension of the Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML). BioVXML is designed for creating modules of biometric verification while maintaining all the features and capabilities of the original VoiceXML. The user verification can now be performed by processing different biometric traits, such as speech or face, and these features gives us an assurance of the user identity, whereas traditional methods such as written passwords do not. BioVXML provides facilities to develop any monomodal or multimodal biometric recognition system, and it simplifies the creation of remote access control to information systems. We also show how BioVXML can be used in a practical system like an e-learning platform.

A Framework for Exploring the Frequent Patterns based on Activities Sequence

In recent years, the development of the use of location-based tools has made it possible to produce geometric trajectories from the user's movement paths. In this way, users' goal of traveling and related activities can be considered in addition to the geometry and route shape. the user activity trajectory represents the sequence of the visited activities and its related analysis as presented i...

A Quality Framework for Agile Requirements: A Practitioner's Perspective

Verification activities are necessary to ensure that the requirements are specified in a correct way. However, until now requirements verification research has focused on traditional up-front requirements. Agile or just-in-time requirements are by definition incomplete, not specific and might be ambiguous when initially specified, indicating a different notion of ‘correctness’. We analyze how v...

Using a verification system to reason about post-completion errors

Faults in the way a system works are often attributed to user error. In critical systems such user errors can be catastrophic. Formal verification is one approach advocated to help avoid catastrophic errors. Previous work has concentrated on ensuring that implementations meet specifications or that safety or liveness properties hold of a specification. However, systems verified in this way are ...
